Black Coffee Poetry was brew-birthed five months ago, and in that time this publication has housed over a dozen collections.
We live in a digital age on steroids - it’s easy to lick the proverbial creme while it’s fresh and forget about how damn good it tastes soon after.
So much talent and tenacity live within each collection. They’re worthy of a revisit, a synopsis, and recognition.
So, I’ve compiled a list of every collection in chronological order! Close to 200 writers fill this space, and I never thought this reach and expanse would be possible when I started the BCP Substack journey.
An Assemblage of Artists: First Wave
This assemblage originated from a simple note which went viral. Some of these authors have stayed with BCP as regular contributors!
These next collections form the “curated” or “top shelf” volumes…
A Matter of Mental Health
Only nine writers for this collection, from small things big things grow...
TRAUMA DEN
The first collection to go BOOM. Trauma Den helped shape Black Coffee Poetry, and this collection made one thing clear: people want more!
Vivid Memory
This collection had a blue and red theme. "Good" memories were accompanied by a blue image, and red for "bad" memories. Some of these stories are brutal, yet impactful.
The Gothic Pact
The first collection with 25 writers. This was a whopping success, with a mix of Olde English gothic and other interpretations.
REVENGE
My personal favorite. This collection starts with a bazooka bang and never lets up. Taste the rage.
Suicide Anthology: Part I
There was an abundance of submissions, so this collection was split in two. Such a sensitive topic, handled with the utmost care.
The Final Sin
The Seven Sins collection came in seven separate posts, for brevity's sake I'll link the seventh post. All prior entries in this collection are linked within!
Holy shit, what a long way we've come. I feel humbled. This is a poetic time travel. A huge thank you to everyone involved, from start to finish. I remain honoured to stand alongside each and every one of you.
Wishing you much continued success with your brilliant vision!!!
