Man, you are right. That poem makes me feel similarly on edge and transcends the riveting synth beats of Robyn’s "Dancing on my Own”!

Thank you! I don’t understand why poetry and/or SOC draws the short straw?

Poets were revered like celebrities in Europe during the 1800s, particularly England.

Every single word fights for its place in a poem.

Yes! Poets are considered inferior by the masses it seems these days.

A poetry professor I had was bantering with a fiction professor once about this and told him at least poets know how to get to the point quicker. 🤣
