Immortal Lovers - Jozef Cain
Winged serpent evil was her destined lover; and so she cried and cursed the gods, waiting. Zephyr guiding Psyche from the edge of the world to a dark abode to find him; her love. Absent of scaly skin, so soft and seductive; and his voice was that of a god: Eros. Jealous, Aphrodite sabotages their love... though Psyche ends an immortal goddess. Ancient, he seized, then placed determining the fate; not resist the sky nor I fear union.

The Scavenger - E.R. Davis
Ancient the man appeared amidst eternal waves, collecting seaweed on the sand each piece held high and weighed before determining the fate; His arms or tide, the winners laid to dry; Driftwood he seized, then placed among the bundled sticks and yet, to no one apparent he spoke, “Denied the stars and sea! Icarus, my son need not resist the sky nor I fear the deep.” Winged of scaly skin, from the edge of the world to a dark abode to find him, lost sails.

We each chose a Greek myth as the topic of our poems. Each of our poems consists of five cinquain stanzas, with the fifth consisting of four lines from the other’s poem plus a unique closing line.
Thank you for reading.
This is simply beautiful. Your two styles working together in tandem and reforming to make a cohesive piece. The uniquely structured stanzas. The imagery. Everything an absolute win!
These are both well-researched extravaganzas.
Such a banal comment, but it's true! The research that went into this is ridiculous. My Grecian hats are tipped to both of you ^_^.
